Urizen Saidan did everything on this demo and it sounds pretty amazing for a one-man project. Keeping that kind of timing and rhythm without playing with others is quite the feat. Using Japanese horror subject-matter, this band feels fresh in a genre oversaturated with Nordic landscapes and lyrics about winter. The sound quality is perhaps too crisp for my taste but not everything can be lo-fi bedroom projects. Interesting riffs are what carry the demo, as well as the caterwauling vocals.

Not many bands can keep my attention pretty much solely using synths, but this entity that is Lamp of Murmuur can do anything and evoke a wonderful atmosphere and showcase their ability to blend melody with a wall of static noise Xra Diabolist
